Cushnie et Ochs S.S 2011

Anyone who knows me knows I love leather. The leather pieces in this collection were a nice change from what I’ve been seeing in the other collections. Again; the sheer chiffon, lace, silk pieces are showing up here and I’m loving them in contrast to the leather and edgy cuts.

My favorite of the collection… These pants are incredible, I’m loving the cut and the pockets.

And my other favorites, it was ridiculously difficult to narrow these down...

Jason Wu S.S 2011

Sheer Chiffon, Bows, Lace, Flowers... Jason Wu killed it yesterday. I can honestly say there wasn't one piece I didn't adore in his collection. The completely see-through chiffon tops were incredible, especially the ones with the bows around the collar. The colors were gorgeous, the royal blues and the greens, and yellows. Mixed in with the neutrals, whites and blacks that I've always been drawn to; it was the perfect mix up.

My favorite of the collection has to be this one... I'm loving bows right now and the crisp white blazer is a nice contrast to the flowy top.

And my other favorites...

Mr. Wu himself, how adorable is he?

Editions by Georges Chakra

Favorite Collection as of yet... I know it's too early to decide, but this collection is perfect! These dresses are the perfect combination of my two favorite things; flowy chiffon and edgy cuts.

My absolute favorite dress of the day is this one. The thin strips wrapped across the bodice are incredible, the studs add an extra edginess, and the silk softens the look.

Gorgeous!!

And here are my other favorites from the collection...

New York Fashion Week S.S 2011

I'm starting this blog in the midst of fashion week, it may or may not be my brightest idea yet. I know there are a million blogs out there that will be blogging fashion week, and likely doing it much better than I will. But, I have no one to share my love of fashion with-- my area of California is not the most 'high fashion'. My girls stick to mostly t-shirts and flip flops, it's pretty much the Central Valley uniform... and to be honest I fall into that category most of the time too, it's just easier. But I have a love and respect for the art of fashion design and I am glad to have a place to share my adoration. I hope whoever sees this enjoys.
